Facilities and Sustainability

We offer amazing facilities for the whole family to enjoy. Our onsite carparking is secure and offers easy access via the lift to each apartment. Parking is underground and has a 2.2m height restriction. We have an amazing resort style swimming pool with shallow ledge for the youngsters. The hot tub is a lovely undercover spot to rest! We also have an all abilities ramp which can be installed for easy access. Just ask at Reception for it to be installed. Our BBQ areas and outdoor seating are located at the swimming pool and tennis court for a group gathering or special occasion. Our full size tennis court is a hit! Equipment can be loaned for free from Reception. The Boathouse Apartments are located above the retail precinct which offers excellent shopping and eateries. There is a choice of coffee shops, restaurants and popular shopping brands. We are proud to be officially recognized as a Sustainable Tourism Accredited Business by the Australian Tourism Industry Council, which is the largest and longest-standing sustainability program in the Australian tourism industry. This accreditation assures our guests that The Boathouse Apartments delivers high-quality, memorable experiences while adhering to sound sustainability practices across . In our ongoing commitment to enhancing sustainability and providing the best guest experience, we are currently working towards achieving Sustainable Tourism Certification with Eco Tourism Australia. This certification will provide our guests with the assurance that we are following global best practices to minimise negative impacts and maximise positive benefits for the environment, community, and culture. We have introduced a recycling program and provide each apartment with recycling collection. Our recycling program funds local event and club sponsorships. We have introduced the beautiful range of Eleven products for guests use, with refillable and environmentally resourced packaging. We no longer use single use plastics and refill containers from bulk stock to reduce our waste. The Boathouse Apartments are working hard to reduce our carbon footprint and be as sustainable as possible. We pride ourselves on offering recycling for paper and cans, have installed energy efficient globes and devices. We offer refillable, reusable containers for cleaning products, personal care items and general welcome pack inclusions. We have adopted recyclable plastic bin bags and offer linen replacement on the 8th day of stay to reduce emissions. Every bit counts and we strive to improve further to protect the environment and the beautiful Whitsundays.
