Catering for Guests with Additional Needs – A Welcoming Environment for Everyone At The Boathouse Apartments, we are committed to ensuring that all guests, including those with additional needs, have a comfortable and enjoyable stay. We understand that accessibility is essential, and we do as much as is possible within the constraints of our property, to meet a range of requirements. While we do not have purpose built accessible apartments, our floorplans offer spacious layouts and we can happily move and remove items to ensure access and comfort. Our property is equipped with features that promote independence and comfort, including: Wheelchair Accessible Entrances, Lifts to all levels and Pathways: Smooth, level paths for easy access throughout the property. Wide Doors and Hallways in common areas: Designed for easy maneuverability with ample space for wheelchairs or mobility devices. We do not have purpose built adapted bathroom facilities. Guests can be provided with an armed plastic chair for showering however specific aides can be hired and delivered to site from local companies. Accessible Parking Space: We have a convenient parking space, close to the entrance for easy access to Reception and entrances to the apartments. Clear Signage and Lighting: Well-lit and clearly marked pathways to ensure easy navigation around the property. We want all our guests to feel welcome and at home, and we are continually working to improve the accessibility of our property.
