We are proud to continue improving our property and this includes painting the external surfaces of the building. Work continues on the western sides, with scaffold currently in place to allow access. This does not impact the beautiful view of the marina. The tradesmen are working quietly and diligently around the building. There is minimal noise impacting guests and on occasions access via stairs or walkways may be impeded for short periods of time for everyone's protection.

The Whitsundays Writers Festival will take place Friday 6 – Sunday 8 September 2024 and will unite writers and readers to celebrate Queensland and Australian stories and authors. We have 13 authors attending, many of whom are high-profile and known throughout Australia, if not the world! 
The Boathouse Apartments are proud to accommodate an author as event sponsors for the writers festival. The festival expands year on year and is a wonderful three-day event that will comprise an engaging mixture of genres from crime to memoir, romance to screenwriting, and more, as well as interactive workshops, panel discussions and author talks. There will also be Poetry Karaoke on the Friday evening, the Big Book Club High Tea, a lively event on the Saturday night, practical workshops on Sunday morning, and a long table local author lunch on the Sunday afternoon.

The junior event is aimed at promoting health, fitness, and teamwork among the youth of the outrigging community and the clinic will bring together junior paddlers from various backgrounds to learn and develop their skills in a fun and supportive environment.

Lea continues to work with Australian Tourism Export Council to complete the Trade Ready program in opening business to welcome visitors from all around the world,
The Trade Ready training instructs on how to engage with the Chinese, Indian, Japanese and other overseas destinations. 
Being Trade Ready has involved attending Australian Tourism Exchange in Melbourne during June to meet with agents from across the globe, at a 4 day conference. This enables The Boathouse Apartments to connect with agents, wholesalers and tour operators from various countries to improve occupancy and business in the future. 

The ATEC ‘Tourism Trade Ready’ program provides the Australian tourism industry with the fundamental learning, skills and essential resources required to trade effectively with the domestic and international marketplace.

A family owned and operated business, we all enjoy getting involved with the various roles of caretaking and managing this wonderful property. Ross, a qualified builder works hard to ensure that every apartment is cared for like it was his own. Lea's role is predominately in the office but she enjoys getting out and about to meet guests and inspect the apartments.
