We’re located right on the Port of Airlie Marina, just a flat five-minute stroll from the main street of Airlie Beach. Our waterfront position means you’re close to cafés, restaurants, boutique shopping, and the ferry terminal for Whitsunday Island tours — all without the hills! The topography in Airlie Beach means that we have big hills! At The Boathouse Apartments it is a flat walk to everywhere.
What types of apartments do you offer?
We offer spacious two- and three-bedroom self-contained apartments, all featuring private balconies, full kitchens, laundry facilities, and stunning marina or garden views. Each apartment feels like a home away from home, perfect for couples, families, or small groups.
What facilities are available at the resort?
Our guests enjoy access to a resort-style pool, heated spa, full-size tennis court, and BBQ areas set amongst tropical gardens. We also offer free Wi-Fi, secure undercover parking, and on-site management for peace of mind throughout your stay.
Is The Boathouse Apartments eco-friendly?
Yes — we’re proud to be a Sustainable Tourism Accredited Business and Eco Certified by Ecotourism Australia. We’ve reduced single-use plastics, introduced a recycling program, installed energy-efficient lighting, and partner with the Whitsundays Healthy Heart Project to protect our reef and environment.
Is The Boathouse family-friendly?
Absolutely! Families love our spacious apartments, resort facilities, and easy walking access to the lagoon, playgrounds, and family dining. We also offer rollaway beds and portacots for extra guests — simply request these when booking. We can offer high chairs and strollers too.
What time is check-in and check-out?
Check-in: 2:00 PM
Check-out: 10:00 AM
If you’re arriving early or leaving late, we’ll do our best to accommodate your needs. Luggage storage is available at Reception.
How far is the airport?
We’re about 50 minutes from Proserpine (Whitsunday Coast) Airport and 60 minutes from Hamilton Island Airport (requiring ferry transfer). We can recommend local airport transfer services or taxis to get you here with ease.
Can I book tours through you?
Yes — our team can help you plan your Whitsunday excursions directly from Reception. From sailing trips and reef snorkelling to island day tours and scenic flights, we’ll help you create an itinerary you’ll never forget. We will ensure your pick up is organised and you know exactly when and where you need to be.
Are there restaurants or cafés nearby?
Yes — several excellent cafés and restaurants are located right below the apartments on the marina, including coffee shops, fine dining, and casual eats. Plus, Airlie Beach’s main dining precinct is just a short stroll away.
Is housekeeping included?
Your apartment is fully self-contained, but housekeeping services can be arranged during your stay for an additional charge. All stays include a starter pack of amenities and fresh linen. Your apartment is also equipped with a washing machine and dryer for your convenience.
♿ Is The Boathouse accessible for guests with disabilities?
Yes — we are QTIC Accredited for Accessible Accommodation with step-free access, lift access to all levels, and wheelchair-friendly paths throughout the property. Please let us know if you have any specific accessibility requirements so we can allocate the best apartment for your stay. Our apartments have had some modifications, particularly in the showers. We have accessibility ramps available for use in our swimming pool. Chat to Ross who will arrange to install them for your stay if you require ramp access to the pool.
Do you have secure parking?
Yes — we offer complimentary undercover parking for all guests, with direct lift access to your apartment. Our two bedroom apartments have one allocated space, and the three bedroom apartments have two car spaces available. The undercover car park has a height restriction of 2.1m.
Do you have free Wi-Fi?
Yes — all guests enjoy unlimited high-speed Wi-Fi throughout the property. Guests will be provided with the password on check in. It is also available at the swimming pool!
Do you offer gift vouchers?
Yes! Treat someone special to a Whitsunday vacation. Gift vouchers are available for accommodation stays and can be customised with a personal message. Contact our team to arrange yours.
